We have another incredible road-trip condensed into 7 nights to get in as much of Western of Canada in a short period of time. This week-long trip takes in the highlights of British Columbia. There are possibilities to extend this self-drive holiday but if you have 7 nights only - this is the most amazing way to use them!

Full Itinerary



Day 1 Fly UK to Vancouver

Upon arrival into Vancouver, pick up your rental car and begin your amazing road trip taking in the Spirt of the West.   Head towards Vancouver centre and check-in at your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore.



Day 2 Vancouver to Sun Peaks

Travel north through mountain village of Whistler and along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway. Highlights along the way include the cascading Shannon Falls and the Stawamus Chief Rock where climbers from all over the globe migrate to climb the granite cliffs. Departing Whistler, travel the Duffey Lake Road to Lillooet. On the upper elevations of the Duffey Lake Road enjoy breath-taking views of Joffee Glacier and snow capped Mount Currie that rises to a height of 2,596 meters (8,518 feet). Continue north on the Gold Rush Trail and Mile Zero of the Old Caribou Wagon Road during the Gold Rush Years.  Proceed to the gold rush town of Cache Creek where you stop to visit the historic Hat Creek Ranch (included).  Head eastbound to Sun Peaks.



Day 3  Sun Peaks to Jasper National Park

Leave the resort village of Sun Peaks and head north through the Monashee and Caribou Mountains to the Thompson River then east through Mount Robson Provincial Park, the highest peak on the Canadian Rockies.  Travel east along the ‘Yellowhead’ route into Jasper National Park.


Day 4  Jasper

Explore this charming mountain village close to many terrific scenic highlights. Take a skyride up Whistlers mountain or we highly recommend a visit to Maligne Lake. This stunning lake is one of the most photographed in the world.  Enjoy a 90 minute cruise heading toward the south end of this postcard setting (Maligne Lake cruise not included). You will marvel at the magnificent shoreline with dense forest and glacial peaks rising abruptly from the water’s edge. Stopping at Spirit Island, you will have the opportunity to take your own version of the world famous photograph of the lake.


Day 5  Jasper to Lake Louise

Travel through one of the most jaw-dropping and scenic roads on the planet - the amazing Icefield Parkway. You are sure to be enthralled by the scenery, wildlife, incredible blue lakes and sparkling waterfalls enroute (Please note: Mountain lakes in this region will be frozen through to mid June). A stop at Peyto Lake along the way is a must. Don’t miss the Columbia Icefield for a ride onto the Athabasca Glacier on board an Ice Explorer (included) before continuing your journey to Jasper.



Day 6  Lake Louise to Banff

This morning, drive along the Bow Valley Parkway, and enjoy a short nature walk at Johnston Canyon. Continue onwards to the incredible town of Banff.  Leave time to ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain on the Banff Gondola and enjoy a breath-taking 360-degree view (Gondola Ride Included) later in the afternoon,


Day 7  Banff Exploring

A full day to explore Banff and area. In town you’ll find lots of excitement shopping, cafes, nightlife, museums. Check out the Cave and Basin National Historic Site, Banff Gondola (included) where you will see a panoramic view of the Bow Valley, and then take a dip in the hot mineral pools at the Upper Hot Springs.


Day 8  Banff to Calgary

Depending on your departure time, you can head to Calgary in under 2 hours and explore some of the city or explore more of Banff in the morning.
